APPLICATION
1.2358 mold steel has excellent wear resistance and good processing performance, and is widely used in industrial fields such as automotive parts stamping molds, plastic injection mold inserts, precision shear blades, and hot forging molds below 600 ℃ (requiring coating). It is particularly suitable for high-precision and high load mold manufacturing requirements.
1.2358 Steel Characteristics
1.2358 steel is a high-performance cold work die steel with a high hardness of 58-62HRC and excellent wear resistance, suitable for heavy-duty scenarios such as automotive stamping dies and precision shear blades. The optimized alloy ratio (containing elements such as Cr, Mo, V, etc.) ensures both hardness and toughness, and has a low heat treatment deformation rate, which can meet the dimensional stability requirements of precision molds.
1.2358 steel also has good processing performance (annealed hardness ≤ 229HB) and surface treatment adaptability, supporting processes such as nitriding and PVD coating to enhance wear resistance. It can maintain stable performance in high temperature environments of 500-600 ℃, and can be extended to applications such as hot forging dies when combined with coatings. It is the preferred solution for mold steel that balances precision, durability, and economy.
